Hi. Nice to meet you. email me

I attended Pratt Institute as a recipient of the “Raw Talent Scholarship.” After graduating, Ralph Lauren recruited me to work in Men's design where I enjoyed illustrating, and designing sweaters, knits, and leather-goods. When I left Ralph Lauren I started a brand identity and package design company focussed on the fashion and beauty industry. I led a team that designed brand identities, packaging, and print communications for companies that include; Estée Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, Christian Dior, Fendi, Liz Claiborne, Coach, Cosmair, Revlon, Perry Ellis, Clarins, and Stuart Weitzman. My work took me all over the world. I’ve created brand identities and package design for companies and sports teams in South Korea, Australia, Monaco, Switzerland, China and Canada. I also designed athlete brand identities for Tiger Woods and former heavyweight champions Evander Holyfield and Jon Ruiz.
I've always kept my hand in the fashion world, and over the years have designed: a Fall collection of Mens luxury bath robes, Fall collection of boys and girls outerwear and ski jackets, boys and girls Spring and Fall collection of knits, and many others. I've designed lighting, furniture and a line of handbags and satchels as wearable fine art.
In 2004 I relocated to San Francisco to become the creative director for a major online travel website (and enjoy fantastic rock climbing). It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the city, and it remains close to my heart.
In 2015, I moved north to the thriving city of Portland Oregon. My studio is in the St. John's neighborhood, an area thriving with artists, photographers and fashion designers. Cathedral Park, with the famous St. John's bridge overhead, offers moss-covered trees and pretty views of Forest Park. I'm enjoying the change of scenery from Monterey Cypress to moss covered Douglas Fir and old-growth Cedars. The birds here are incredible.
As a fine artist, I consider myself an aesthetic movement hybrid. I believe that artists have a responsibility to clearly communicate ideas while revealing details that might otherwise be ignored. While I tend to combine utility with my art (an aesthetic movement "must"), I also believe it is important to create art that is simply beautiful for its own sake.
I enjoy drawing the viewers attention to the visual rhythm revealed by light as it falls on seemingly chaotic textures; be it the branches of trees, the feathers on a bird, or the unruly hair of a Scottish Deerhound. I work in all mediums but tend to favor pen & ink and water color. I also enjoy creating unique pieces of furniture, lighting and fashion. I call the combination of these things; "accessories for life".
When I’m not working as a professional creative, I can be found working in my Portland, OR art studio or in various city parks drawing pen and ink illustrations.
